Change the outdated discriminatory Section 23 added to Hawaiʻi's Constitution a generation ago. Remove the Hawaiʻi legislature’s authority to limit marriage to opposite-sex couples. Let's make sure Hawaiʻi remains an inclusive and welcoming place for all loving couples.
The Hawaiʻi State Senate passed HB 2802, HD 1, by a 24-1 vote. Voters will now have the opportunity to rescind Article I, Section 23, from the state constitution on the November ballot. Sign up below to show that you support marriage equality for everyone.
The Change 23 Coalition advocates for amending Section 23 of the Hawaiʻi State Bill of Rights. Section 23ʻs discriminatory language should never have been added to our Hawaiʻi Constitution. This is our opportunity to right this wrong in the 2024 election.
